WHY APPRENTICESHIP
OVER COLLEGE?A good career is one that can sustain a family over your lifetime and provide you with benefits and a retirement. College isn’t for everyone, and it’s not a guarantee of a good career. Apprenticeship isn’t some last resort for those without direction. It’s a solid path for smart, enterprising people who like to work with their hands.
THE SHEET METAL INDUSTRY CAN PROVIDE A LIFELONG CAREER WITH A LIVABLE WAGE AND HEALTH AND PENSION BENEFITS.
Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 36 Apprenticeship Program provides a five-year apprenticeship program where students work on the jobsite and continue their educations at the training center through classroom and hands-on shop training.
If you have strong math skills and enjoy working with your hands, problem solving and working in various locations, a unionized sheet metal apprenticeship may be for you!
